Working Test Training Weekend

LOCATION:  East Sussex (full details and directions will be given when your booking is confirmed)

DATE:  Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March 2026

TIME:  9.30 am to 3 pm both days with a short break for lunch (please bring lunch with you and please arrive in plenty of time)

TRAINER:  Andrew Farley

TRAINING FEE:  £80 for members and £90 for non members

APPLICATIONS CLOSE:  10 days prior to the training date, however spaces booked will be taken on a first come, first served basis.

TRAINING: 

This fabulous weekend opportunity is being hosted by professional gundog trainer, Andrew Farley of Warrenby Gundogs. Andrew has a wealth of experience in training gundogs, from puppy through to adult and beginners to advance open level.

Whether you are aiming for your first working test or looking to polish your performance, this weekend will give you the confidence and practical experience in the run up to the working test season.

DETAILS OF THE TRAINING DAY: 

This weekend will be held at a wonderful venue set in 1,000 acres, with a tea room, toilet facilities, place to sit and have lunch, different grounds, jumps and lakes, a place which covers all gundog work. This training will be for a maximum of eight dogs. The level is most suited to Novice Dog/Novice Handler and Novice. The weekend will cover all the key elements of a working test:

• Hunting

• Water

• Retrieving

Also, the areas of obedience work, the J-Regs, the scoring system and the understanding on how these are applied will be part of the weekend.

In the case of over subscription priority will be given to members of the Korthals Griffon Club GB then non members with a Korthals Griffon and then to HPRs.

• Upon notification of acceptance to the training day, you will be asked to pay the fee by bank transfer (details will be given at the time).

• If oversubscribed there will be a reserved list held.

• If anyone has to cancel at short notice for a genuine reason, we will endeavour to fill your place from the reserve list.  If we can't fill your place at short notice,  then the training fee will be forfeit.

• Bitches in season will not be allowed on the ground

• Neither the Korthals Griffon Club or the hosts of this training will accept any liability for any accident, damage, illness or injury to dogs, owners, handlers and spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
