Cold Game Retrieve Training

LOCATION:  Kinlet, Shropshire (full details and directions will be given when your booking is confirmed)

DATE:  Sunday 20th October 2024

TIME:  10am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 3.30pm (please arrive in plenty of time)

TRAINER:  Chris Guest of BCA Gundogs

TRAINING FEE:  £20 for members and £25 for non members

APPLICATIONS CLOSE:  10 days prior to the training date, however spaces booked will be taken on a first come, first served basis.

TRAINER: 

Your trainer will be Chris Guest of BCA Gundogs.  Chris trains HPRs and other gundogs, covering all aspects of training from the basics for beginners to the experienced.  Chris also trains, competes and works her own dogs - having owned for many years and still does, Wirehaired Vizsla, Labrador and Spinone.

DETAILS OF THE TRAINING DAY: 

The training will be for those dogs that are regularly retrieving and not for beginners.  Dogs must be reliably retrieving dummies over a reasonable distance regularly, with good recall. It will consist of memory, split and marked retrieves along with shot and cold game to replace dummies

There will two sessions available and there will be a maximum of six dogs per session:

• Morning (10am to 12.30pm)

• Afternoon (1pm to 3.30pm)

In the case of over subscription priority will be given to members of the Korthals Griffon Club GB then non members with a Korthals Griffon and then to HPRs.

Upon notification of acceptance to the training day, you will be asked to pay the fee by bank transfer (details will be given at the time).

• If oversubscribed there will be a reserved list held.

• If anyone has to cancel at short notice for a genuine reason, we will endeavour to fill your place from the reserve list.  If we can't fill your place at short notice,  then the training fee will be forfeit.

• Bitches in season will not be allowed on the ground

• Neither the Korthals Griffon Club or the hosts of this training will accept any liability for any accident, damage, illness or injury to dogs, owners, handlers and spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
